Claudia Higgins, MSW, RCSWI

Claudia specializes in child and family therapy. She has over a decade of experience working within the child welfare system, mental health field, and educational setting. She uses her life experiences to make her a youth counselor that you can count on to help your child. Her unique, Christ-centered, therapeutic approach to counseling allows her to more closely address her clients’ spiritual and emotional needs. As a Christian therapist, Claudia will use biblical and clinically relevant principles to help her get through to her clients.

She works with children, adolescents and adults seeking counseling to overcome depression, anxiety, sexual trauma and domestic violence, substance abuse and dependency among other challenges. As a marriage and family therapist, she can help families overcome communication barriers and unresolved issues that are negatively affecting their relationships. When working with children, Claudia infuses the counseling process with assorted Play/Art Therapy techniques designed to engage young people on their level in a creative, non-threatening environment.

Claudia’s overarching mission as a counselor is to help her clients realize an improved quality of life. She believes that no matter what challenges her clients may face, the road to renewal and restoration can always be traveled, and she is eager to partner with them along the way.
